The series continues the 1982 film of the same name, ignoring the sequels “Creepshow 2” and “Creepshow 3”, and consists of seventeen episodes, each with two horror stories. On September 26, 2019, the series premiered. For aficionados of old-school horror, especially those who adored the original “Creepshow”, there’s a lot to enjoy here. Shudder’s series keeps the same love for EC Comics, with scene transitions that mirror the paneled layouts and speech bubbles of the old pages, and yes, the Creep himself returns as your esteemed host. We have no choice but to stand him because he’s a practical puppet who’s fantastic.
